Every minute, two children are sold into human trafficking. We cannot sit silent and allow this evil to prevail, it is time to fight back against modern day slavery!

Rehabilitation

The Need: Currently there are children who are detained in juvenile detention centers for crimes committed during their enslavement. Crimes that include drugs, theft, and acts of violence. Most of these acts, these children are forced to commit as part of their enslavement to traffickers. We are working towards providing rehabilitation and restoration to these survivors who are currently forgotten. By utilizing a vibrant volunteer force we can effectively send the love of Christ to these children right where they are at. By working with the court systems, we can help reduce their sentencing in exchange for enrollment in the One-For-One program.
One-for-One Mentorship: Similar to a big brother/ big sister program, volunteers are trained to mentor survivorsin juvenile detention centers and in existing foster care. Volunteers are given the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ providing judgement-free love to the children who need it most, trafficked victims.

Focus of Program: restore survivors through the love of Christ for the reintegration into society and equip them with the necessary tools to succeed in their family, occupational, educational, and spiritual development during their detainment and after their release.

Advocacy for Victims: We are currently in the process of building with a political team to help create legislation that will expunge the criminal records that occurred during the enslavement of survivors. We aim to extend options to these survivors in exchange for their mentorship in the One-for-One.

Creative Therapy: Through art, music, dance, horse back riding, and theater, children are given the opportunity to dream for the first time and express themselves in a healthy, restorative way. Redeem the Shadows is currently working to help give creative tools back to survivors so that they can express themselves in a healthy way and assist in healing the trauma through art therapy.
